Have Any Questions?
Why should I have my teeth whitened by a dental professional? - A proper oral examination will determine whether you are a suitable candidate for teeth whitening (not everyone is)
- Some tooth whiteners can cause sensitivity to your teeth and gums (we can help prevent this uncomfortable side effect).
- You'll see results in days (or less), rather than weeks
- You may not require a whitening touch-up in years
- Professional strength products actually work.
What are some facts about whitening strips?- Strips only cover you front 6 teeth.
- Strips only work on perfectly straight teeth
- Strips have trouble staying in place and come off easily.
- You'll need to do a touch up every six months. (this can become expensive over the long term)
What are some facts about paint-on whitening products?- They contain a very low level of hydrogen peroxide (less the 1%) so they are too weak to be effective.
- They are only active on the tooth for 2-3 minutes before you saliva washes it away.
- They contain phosphoric acid (which corrosive)
What are some facts on whitening toothpastes?- They are expensive over long term.
- They are abrasive over tooth enamel (some brands more than others)
- They are fine for removing light surface stains, but do little to actually whiten your teeth.
